Origin hub: what it is and what happens to the parcel there

The origin hub is the warehouse, in the seller's country, where the logistics operator receives the parcels, checks them and consolidates them before international transport.

It is the first control point of the shipment. At the hub each parcel is scanned, the label and the recipient data are verified, it is weighed and measured, and it is grouped with other parcels to the same destination.

A well-located hub, close to airports and to the sellers' warehouses, shortens the domestic leg at origin and the total shipment time.

How Origin hub works in our operation

MailAmericas has its own hubs in China, the United States and Europe. The seller sends the parcel to the nearest hub, or MailAmericas collects it, and the unified tracking starts there.

How does my parcel get to the origin hub?

The seller ships it with a domestic service or delivers it directly. In some cities MailAmericas arranges pickup at the seller's warehouse.
