Logistics dropshipping: what it is and how it differs from fulfillment

In logistics, dropshipping is the service where the warehouse receives parcels that already come packed for an end buyer, does not store them, and forwards them to their destination as fast as possible.

The seller or their supplier packs the parcel for an order already sold and consigns it to the operator's warehouse. The warehouse receives it, checks it, relabels it if needed and dispatches it. There is no stock and no picking.

It is used when the seller buys in one market (for example, the United States) to sell in another, and needs a transit point that consolidates and forwards.
