Back order: what it means and how it is resolved
Back order is the status of an order that cannot be prepared because the warehouse has no available units of one of its products, or because the product is not loaded in the inventory.
The order is not lost: it waits until stock comes in. As soon as the replenishment is received, the order returns to the normal flow automatically.
In dropshipping or selling on stock in transit it is a normal status: the sale happens before the merchandise reaches the warehouse.

How Back order works in our operation
In MailAmericas' Self-Service Portal, back orders have their own tab, and the inventory shows a negative quantity when units are missing to complete them. The seller's action is to create a replenishment for the missing units.

Why is my order in back order?
Because stock of a product in the order is missing, or the product is not loaded. Create a replenishment for those units and the order moves to Pending when it is received.
